Intriguingly illustrated by the author's adopted son Mikey Jiraros, this is a book to be savored. And finally there are encounters with archetypes that seem to have messages to deliver, or instructions from a higher place. Then there are dreams that seem to contain entire plots of novels unwritten, perhaps a treasure trove to be mined for future works. From bright blue coelocanths encircling the globe to mediaeval spaceships to Paleolithic Venuses that unzip their skin to reveal hidden cameras to vomit that splits into emeralds, Somtow's dream diary is like an anthology of symbolist prose poems, reminiscent of the fevered mind of Rimbaud. A glimpse into the inner world of one of today's Renaissance men, The Maestro's Noctuary contains images both inspiring and disturbing. Somtow delivers nine years' worth of his dreams, meticulously recorded in a dream journal. By popular request, World Fantasy Award winning novelist and opera composer S.P.

Peanuts and Rosie is a sweet and innocent story that is gentle enough for even the youngest readers. Peanuts knows that he would like to spend more time with Rosie, so he asks a very special question: will she be his Valentine? The two decide to spend the day together, playing at the playground, jumping from tree to tree, and visiting a wishing well together. Going to the bookstore – which always cheers him up – he meets a new friend, Rosie, after they bond over a favorite book. Peanuts finds his life a bit lonely, and wishes that he had another squirrel to share his activities with, especially on Valentine’s Day. He climbs trees, gathers nuts, heads to the grocery store, works in his workshop, etc. Peanuts, a squirrel, has many activities that he occupies himself with during the day. Hello, friends! Our book today is the charming The Secret Life Of Squirrels: A Love Story by Nancy Rose, a cleverly photographed tale of a lovely little squirrel finding a mate. The Whispers may have rescued Renata from the palace years ago, but she cannot escape their mistrust and hatred-or the overpowering memories of the hundreds of souls she drained during her time in the palace. Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Stories of Light & Dark. It has some inventive verbal humor, but for the most part is emotionally heart-rendering. The story encompasses a variety of emotions. I love his brother's young heir, who, when speaking to the Duke addresses him as "Uncle", and the Duke replies "Nephew". There is: Lord Walfort, his jewels, the scandalous Duchess of Ainsley and her artist lover with no known last name, his brothers and their ever-growing families. The hero and heroine of the story is the Duke of Ainsley and the Lady Jane Walfort, but the secondary characters play important roles. The guilt ridden Duke of Ainsley feels he owes his friend and cousin Walfort a debt, but the payment requested even shocked the rake. "Waking Up With The Duke" is an emotional story about dysfunctional families of the aristocracy, friendships, guilt, regrets, and love. Most of the aforementioned books have little to no actual story. I did not find it objectionable as I do with stories that simply throw in page after page of sexual activity to increase the length of their books, or ones that depict erotic behavior intended to cause sexual excitement. The storyline calls for love-making throughout the book, but unlike many stories with immoderate sexual content the theme of "Waking Up With The Duke" is about begetting a babe. Waking Up With The Duke is a unique story. The Wonderful Flight to the Mushroom Planet (and sequels) by Eleanor Cameron When we did this with my daughter’s book club, we met at Henry Cowell inside of the hotel tree! It’s the story of an old man, retired from a career as a headstone-maker, who builds a little cabin against a massive redwood tree. I was introduced to this book by my son’s first-grade teacher. This was a sweet “getting to know you” story that was written well but didn’t move any mountains for me. You want a slit that is big enough to fit your head.
